The Rockdoor English Cottage: cottage charm with modern security
The English Cottage is a cottage-style door with a narrow mid rail. A small glass unit sits under a curved top moulding, with long vertical panels below. Because the glass can be obscured, it lets in light and keeps the hall private.

Rockdoor English Cottage glass options
The glass unit is the part of the door you can change most, so it is worth choosing with care. Rockdoor offers it clear or with a square lead pattern, diamond lead is available too, and an obscure backing glass such as Sandstone or Glacier keeps it private.
A glass design adds £80–£260 to the price. Laminated glass is available if you want more protection.

The wood finishes suit this style, and we have fitted it in Irish Oak, Light Oak and Rosewood as well as Anthracite Grey, Ruby Red and Emerald Green. The other Rockdoor colours can be made too, inside and out.
The £1,900 starting price is for a white door. Any other colour adds £70.

Many of our English Cottages have thin side panels, often in Satin glass, and some have a toplight.
Handles£100–£180for a bar handle
Lever handles suit the cottage look, and we have fitted black and steel finishes. A bar handle is available too.
SecurityIncludedon every Rockdoor
Winkhaus multi-point locking, an aluminium-reinforced frame and a glass unit sealed in with S-Glaze, so the glass can’t be taken out from outside. The anti-snap cylinder is 3-star rated to TS007, the door is PAS 24 certified, and laminated glass with the steel mesh upgrade makes it Secured by Design.
